Course Units
Unit 1: Advanced OSH management principles in organisations
- Enabling learners to demonstrate advanced understanding of OSH legal frameworks and management principles, drawing from the Technical competencies, and assessing the ability to apply, develop and appraise different management approaches in the context of an organisation.
Unit 2: OSH integration within an organisation
- Enabling learners to critically appraise OSH performance within an organisation and demonstrate a wide appreciation of how internal and external factors can influence OSH decision making, drawing from the Technical areas of culture and sustainability along with Core business competencies.
Unit 3: Leading and influencing in OSH
- Enabling learners to demonstrate understanding and application of leadership skills that equip them to influence, challenge and drive change within OSH in an organisation, drawing from the Behavioural and Core competencies in the context of OSH.
Requirements
As a Health and Safety manager you will be expected to prove that you are operating a comprehensive Health and Safety management system that encompasses all aspects of your company's undertakings and involves relevant employees at all levels. You must also prove that you possess the relevant underpinning Health and Safety knowledge to satisfy the required standards.
Candidates with limited knowledge, experience or qualifications in the Health and Safety field may be considered to be suitable for this qualification if they have the opportunity or potential to produce the required evidence and are also willing to undertake further training.
